Anna Scott

Writer / Editor

Anna joined the Open Data Institute in September 2014 as its Writer/Editor. She focuses on creating, shaping and producing content across the ODI's programmes. As a Registered Trainer, Anna also holds writing workshops for people looking to improve their storytelling.

Anna's background is in human rights and global development. Before joining the ODI, Anna was a journalist at the Guardian, where she wrote and commissioned content on broad issues, from aid transparency to global health. Before joining the Guardian, Anna helped set up the Europe office at the Center for Global Development, where she handled policy outreach and produced the popular podcast, Development Drums.

Anna's passion for open data first developed between her BA in politics and anthropology and her MA in human rights, when she worked on the AidData programme at Development Initiatives and saw for the first time the difference that robust data can make to people's lives.

In her spare time, Anna sings in a trip hop band called Glabella.
